Homecoming this year started on Friday, Oct. 23 to account for the
school holiday on Monday, Oct. 26. Friday kicked off the festivities
with a superhero dress-up day. Homecoming events included powderpuff football
and the tug-o-war. Seniors won the Homecoming games with 113 points, Sophomores came in
second with 90 points, Juniors were the third place finishers with 76
points and the Freshmen acquired 63 points.
Chadwick's athletic coordinator, Rollie Johnson, organized a pep rally
that was a huge success. The pep rally started with a CPA barbecue, and included cheers and speeches
from team captains which filled everyone in on the coming sports season. The pep rally was held the day before the varsity
football Homecoming game and helped build school spirit going into the
game against Pasadena Poly which Chadwick won 31-19.
